Owner Interview: Tacoluss

Detroit Motor City Kittys

WIS Name: tacosluss
First Name: Anthony
Home State: Michigan
Age: 42
What do you do when you’re not playing HBD or working?:

Soccer referee, rock collecting, raising my 3 kids.

Favorite Teams:

Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Michigan Wolverines, San Antonio Spurs

Choose 4 people you’d like to hang out with for a night (why?):

Billy Martin (love to hear the baseball stories plus he would have been very likely to get drunk and make a scene); Igor Larionov (not only was he an amazing hockey player, his nickname was the "professor" because of his vast bank of knowledge. I also would love to hear about the Soviet Red Army teams; Bo Schembechler (I love all things Wolverines and he would have been the foremost authority); Dennis Rodman (he played for the Detroit Pistons and my Spurs! He's ambassador to North Korea!! He married himself!!! Can you imagine spending a few hours with that guy?)

Funniest or dumbest thing that you have done in last few years:

Got stuck at a landfill dumping my father-in-law's construction trash. Had to get pushed out by the bulldozers. VERY embarrassing!

Most Memorable WIS moment:

Winning the season 8 WS in Sweet Lou. We had to come up with a few trades to push us into the wild card then finesse our way through the playoffs to the title.

HBD owner that you respect/fear the most (Why?):

It would have to be soxfan_9. I only have a .430 win% vs him. He builds a great ML team. He would be the closest I have to an archrival.

If you could change one thing about Sweet Lou, what would it be?:

Not much. Just hope we have less turnover.

If you could change one thing about HBD what would it be?:

Ability to trade draft picks or player to be named later. Also would like to see a player's ability based on games played at a position. For example, the Detroit Tigers had Jhonny Peralta at SS for the majority of the season. He is an average to below average SS but in HBD he would be a gold glove lf. As we all saw in the playoffs, he is way below average in left simply from lack of games played.
